Efstratios N. Pistikopoulos
Professor Efstratios N. (Stratos) Pistikopoulos FREng is a Distinguished Research Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University, as well as the Associate Director of the Texas A&M Energy Institute. From 1991-2015, he was a Professor for Chemical Engineering at Imperial College, London, where he was the director of the Centre for Process Systems Engineering between 2002 and 2009.〔Multi-Parametric Programming & Control 25 years later: what is next?".〔() 〕 Additionally, Professor Pistikopoulos has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2013.
==Education==
Professor Pistikopoulos received the Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece with 1st class honours in 1984, and continued his education with his Ph.D. studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh under the supervision of Professor Grossmann. He graduated in 1988, and his thesis was entitled "Systematic procedures to improve process flexibility in retrofit design".〔 After working with Shell Chemicals in Amsterdam, he joined Imperial College London in 1991 as an assistant professor.
